This battery does MOST of what I wanted fabulously–it’s a nice fit in my iBook 14″, and it gives great battery life, even a month after I began using it–easily four to five hours of real-life usage without having to play games (like reversing out the monitor or such).
On the downside…
The battery doesn’t seem to interact with the Power Manager on my iBook terribly well. No matter what settings I put in my Energy Saver control panel, it doesn’t seem to know when to go to sleep. If I leave the iBook unattended, it will stay awake until the battery runs out and then shut down, HARD. I’ve tried resetting the PMU, and looking for any kind of firmware, but so far no luck.
Still, as long as I remember to close my laptop when I’m not using it, this battery is wonderful.
